Tip of the Week – Find School Districts with Homesnap

This tip is for the Homesnap Pro mobile app.

Homesnap makes finding out what school district your client’s listing is in as easy as possible. Just find a home on the Homesnap app and scroll down and you’ll see all the assigned public schools from elementary to high school. Remember the closest school isn’t always the one your kids will go to, so make sure to check Homesnap for the right information.

Each school will have a ranking next to it to give you an idea of how it stacks up with other schools. You can also easily see more information about the school, such as students by grade, student-to-teacher ratio, spending per student and more.

Got your heart set on a school district? Homesnap has you covered. Simply check out the schools profile to see listings within the desired district.

Several years ago, we released Find as a core service of NorthstarMLS. (Similar to RPR, Find is a comprehensive database of residential properties throughout the U.S. into which information is captured from MLS’s and from public record sources—learn more here.)

Now in addition to the general Find link (in the External Links box on the Matrix home page), we have property-specific links on every NorthstarMLS Property Full Display below the main photo. Click on one of three Find links to go to property details, community information, or schools.

Note: At this time, the Find links are not available on listings from other MLS’s displayed on NorthstarMLS through the SASI data share program.

New to Find? Within the Find application, click the green “Get Training!” link in the upper right corner for a calendar of one-hour webinars. There is also a “Contact Support” link where you will find the user guide, video tutorials and more.
