The “Me” tab in the Homesnap Pro mobile app makes it easy to quickly edit your personal information, upload and change your profile picture and manage your Homesnap Pro settings. Plus much more! When you tap the “Me” tab, here’s what you’ll see:

  • option to upload or change your profile picture and wallpaper
  • quick link to invite your clients to Homesnap Pro
  • control your settings — name, email, phone, etc.
  • view the archive of “Snaps” that you’ve taken
  • view list of your clients
  • view your recently viewed homes
  • view other agents in your office
  • link to the Homesnap Pro help & feedback center
  • And more!

Homesnap Pro 101 Webinar – NorthstarMLS Agents
This webinar will cover the basics of downloading and using Homesnap as a Homesnap Pro agent. The beginning of the webinar is dedicated to downloading the app, creating a password and placing your profile photo in it. In addition, you will learn about listings and search, inviting your sphere into Homesnap, how to create a 5-minute Rapid CMA, safety and messaging and other agent features. There will be time afterwards for a question and answer session.

Check out the dates and times below. Click the time/session that works for you and click the link. On the registration link, select the date and time from the drop down that works best for you. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Homesnap Pro, a NorthstarMLS mobile solution, is excited to announce its latest app feature: Homesnap Messages. The new built-in messaging feature makes talking to clients, friends and agents about homes fast and simple.

Homesnap messaging organizes conversations around homes in one place, so you can keep track of all of the homes that your clients are interested in. Buyer’s agents can keep track of all the homes discussed with each client – all in one place. For listing agents, all conversations related to a listing appear together on the listing page. Also, Homesnap Pro agents can message any other agent in their MLS in a single tap.

In case you haven’t heard, September is National REALTOR® Safety Month. Take some time to ponder how safe – or unsafe – you are during the course of a typical day.

One tool you can add to your safety kit is the Homesnap Pro Safety Timer that is built into the Homesnap Pro mobile app, available to all NorthstarMLS users. This short video demonstrates how it works. Try it the next time you’re out at a showing.

Tip of the Week – Find School Districts with Homesnap


This tip is for the Homesnap Pro mobile app.


Homesnap makes finding out what school district your client’s listing is in as easy as possible. Just find a home on the Homesnap app and scroll down and you’ll see all the assigned public schools from elementary to high school. Remember the closest school isn’t always the one your kids will go to, so make sure to check Homesnap for the right information.

Each school will have a ranking next to it to give you an idea of how it stacks up with other schools. You can also easily see more information about the school, such as students by grade, student-to-teacher ratio, spending per student and more.

Got your heart set on a school district? Homesnap has you covered. Simply check out the schools profile to see listings within the desired district.

Tip of the Week – Auto Emails with NorthstarMLS Mobile App

This tip is for the NorthstarMLS Mobile App (powered by Homespotter).


Did you know that you can access the auto-emails you create for your clients on the web in the NorthstarMLS app? Log into the NorthstarMLS app and select My Contacts. Scroll through your contacts to find the client whose auto email you’d like to view.

From there you’ll see options for their auto emails, any listings you’ve put in your cart associated with their name and any listings they’ve marked as favorites or possibilities. Select any of the options to see a map or list view of your clients listing details.

We are pleased to announce three BookAShowing enhancements resulting from frequent user requests.

Open Matrix listing from BookAShowing
This is the one most of you have been waiting for. The MLS number and primary photo are now linked to the listing in Matrix. Click to open the Matrix property full display in a new tab/window. These links are available on the scheduling screen, showings calendar, feedback forms and feedback emails.

Schedule multiple appointments on Mobile
If you are using the full version of Matrix on your phone (not Matrix Mobile), select up to 20 listings and click the BookAShowing button, all of those listings are now sent together to BookAShowing Mobile for scheduling.

Notify Selling Agent of Inspections and Appraisals
You can now set automatic Selling agent notification of Inspection and Appraisal appointments. This is a helpful courtesy to keep the Selling agent in the loop as often the Inspector or Appraiser makes the appointment direct with the List Office.

To set this notification (as early as when a contingent offer is accepted), select Listings>Active from the BookAShowing top menu bar. Click the check mark under the Edit column for the Contingent or Pending listing you want to set. On the Edit screen, this is the Selling Notification portion of the Listing Details section:

If your listing is in Pending status, the Selling Agent’s name will automatically be filled. If the listing is in Active status with a Contingency, you will need to fill it in. Start typing the agent’s name or ID, and it will pop up for you to select. Set the Yes/No dropdown box to “Yes.” The Selling Agent will then get automatic notifications of Inspection and Appraisal appointments only. They will not be notified of any other appointment types.  When booking a specific appointment, you have the option to override whatever is set for the Listing. For example, if you have it set to No, you can set it to Yes in the appointment screen, and the Selling agent will be notified just for that appointment.

Note: If a listing goes from Pending back to Active status, or a Contingency is removed, BookAShowing automatically clears out the Selling agent information.
