Instanet Solutions has released the new TransactionDesk App for iOS devices. The TransactionDesk App is free and available to all NorthstarMLS subscribers now.
The app enables you to manage all of your listing, sales and lease transactions from your mobile device. With the app, you can keep in touch and communicate with clients, share documents, create and fill in forms, prepare and send documents for eSigning and send documents for remote approval to ensure transactions are completed and finished on time, every time.
All of the same functionality currently available in the browser based TransactionDesk service is available in the mobile app. Users can access the Authentisign®, Instanet Forms®, DocBox®, Instanet Fax® and Broker Dashboard services currently available in the browser based TransactionDesk service all from within the app. The TransactionDesk App can be downloaded on the Apple App store here.
For security reasons, you’ll need activate the app by logging into your NorthstarMLS Matrix account, opening Instanet Forms from the External Links box, retrieve your activation code for the app and copy/paste that code into the app on your device. It’s just takes a minute or so of your time. More information regarding the new TransactionDesk App can be found here.
Note: An Android version of the TransactionDesk App is in the works, but no release date has been announced by the vendor. Approximately 90% of mobile logins to TransactionDesk & Authentisign are from iOS devices. We’ll announce when an Android version is available.

If you haven’t tried the NorthstarMLS app or simply stopped using it, you’re going to want to try the new HomeSpotter! HomeSpotter is the creator of the NorthstarMLS mobile app, and soon we will retire that app to move onto their new platform, simply called HomeSpotter. This new app will provide you with all the information you had in the NorthstarMLS app, but with even more great features and on a faster and more reliable platform.
How is the HomeSpotter app different than the NorthstarMLS app?
Based on agent feedback, the HomeSpotter app is re-designed from the ground up to be faster and more reliable using HomeSpotter’s latest technology. While some of the features you’ve come to rely on will stick around, a lot has improved.
- The app is all around faster and more reliable.
- Access property history and listing highlights quickly from the listing details.
- Improved access to supplements- email them right from the app to your clients.
- See a map, street view, and property boundaries for the listing.
- Access Transaction Desk (Instanet).

You can download HomeSpotter here or search “HomeSpotter” the App Store for iOS and Google Play store for Android for the free mobile app. Sign in with your NorthstarMLS credentials to get started and access agent only information.

Tip of the Week – Mobile App Suggestions Feature
Have a suggestion for something you’d like to see in the NorthstarMLS Mobile App? The newest version of the NorthstarMLS Mobile App for both iOS and Android – released in November – now lets you submit your own suggestion or idea, directly to the vendor (Mobile Realty Apps).
To get to “App Suggestions”, tap the Menu icon in the top left (highlighted with yellow box in the screen shot below) and a side menu will open with more options. “App Suggestions” is located near the bottom of the screen, as seen in the screen shot (highlighted in red). Tap it and you will be directed to the “NorthstarMLS App Ideas” forum where you will be able to submit your ideas, read other users’ ideas and add your own comment on those or “Like” other users’ ideas.
(Note: If you are not seeing the App Suggestions link, you are likely NOT on the most recent version of the app, and will need to download the newest version to your device.)
The vendor will act on constructive feedback and suggestions. It is not, however, a support forum. For support on using the app, please continue to contact our Help Desk.

Improved Mobile App Interface!
The NorthstarMLS Mobile App has been updated for both iOS and Android. The vendor has updated the user interface and added a couple of new features.
- App opens in map view so that you can go immediately to browsing properties;
- View a single property only (no surrounding listings) with the new “Filter By” button;
- To narrow down to only some of the properties on your screen, use your finger to draw a shape around them;
- Fly-out menu and search screen with a simple tap.
