Tip of the Week — Client Pre-Approved Check Box & Categories
In today’s aggressive housing market, your buying clients will be one step ahead of the competition if they get pre-approved for a mortgage before they begin house hunting.
Don’t forget you can better organized with your clients in Matrix by checking the “Mortgage Pre-Approved” check box – this will indicate which of your clients are already pre-approved for a mortgage. Other NorthstarMLS users can also see if your client’s auto email is in their reverse prospecting list.
Additionally, you can sort your contacts by Categories — Buyer, Seller, Friend, Prospect or create your own Custom category. The video below shows you how to do both in just over two minutes!

Respondents in the latest National Association of REALTORS Profile of Buyers and Sellers said that saving for the down payment was the most difficult step in the home buying process. Data also shows that buyers aren’t overwhelmed by more information—they are consuming and using it to help move their home search forward. Many buyers are unaware of or have no access to information about homeownership programs that could make their home purchase more affordable. Earlier this week, we announced improvements to the Client Portal, including improved displays. Those improvements are now in place. The Portal works basically the same, so your clients do not need to re-learn it. Most of the changes are cosmetic.
